576_Cod_May_2Today we had the Atlantic Highlands crew up again for another round of good fishing.

As soon as we arrived we had good fishing for about an hour or so, with fish coming in the boat steady. Nothing too big, mostly market size fish with a bunch of throw-backs and some big pollack bending the rods . After the good bite, it would slow to a steady pick with some drifts much better than others, but fish always on even though we lost just as many as we caught. We finished loading up with cod after a few good drifts and then off to find some haddock. As soon as we arrived we caught 3 haddock and it looked like it was going to be a good pick, and that was the end of it…we caught no more.

It was then time to head home and plenty of fillets filled the coolers once again.

We still have a few days open this month so don’t miss out before we switch over to tuna/cod trips later in June.

We also still have one opening for the May 11th open boat…$200 pp.
