April 20th we went East looking for fish and did find many, however the size of the cod were very small but the haddock were good size. Not too many keeper fish for the day and the guys fished super hard. Fishing was not half as good but they did add to their good catch from the good day before.
April 21th was and easy day of fishing with mostly NJ Fishing guys on the boat once again. All it took was about 5 drifts to load up and limit out on market and large cod just before the 40 knots winds came along, but not a problem steaming home in the 38′ Duffy which just plowed through some huge waves. A big thanks to Jim from Big Mac who put us on the fish. Just a bounce or two and you were pulling tight on a single or a double. You very seldom came up empty. You could not ask for better fishing and a great group of people.
Back out in the morning…still have some days in May.
